Our AML and Verification Rules

Verification keeps your money safe and our platform compliant. Here we explain exactly what we check, when we check it and what we need from you under our Malta Gaming Authority licence.

Our AML Commitment

We operate under a licence issued by the Malta Gaming Authority, which binds us to the anti-money-laundering and counter-terrorism-financing framework of our licence jurisdiction. For you, this means every account on our platform is opened with checks that confirm who you are and that your funds come from a legitimate source.

We apply a risk-based approach. Most players complete a standard check and never hear from us again. Where risk indicators appear, we escalate: enhanced due diligence, senior review and, where the law requires it, a report to the Financial Intelligence Analysis Unit. We would rather ask you one extra question than let our platform be used to move criminal money.

Our Money Laundering Reporting Officer owns this policy, reviews it annually and trains every staff member who handles payments or player accounts. Nothing on our platform is exempt, including crypto deposits and withdrawals in BTC, ETH, USDT and LTC.

When We Verify Your Account

Verification points

Verification is not a single event. We run identity checks at registration, confirm your payment method before your first withdrawal, and re-check at thresholds set by our licence and internal risk policy. You can verify at any time after signing up, and we recommend doing it early so your first withdrawal is not delayed.

If you deposit with a card, e-wallet or crypto wallet, that method must be registered in your name. Corporate accounts, shared wallets and third-party payments are not accepted, and deposits made from them are returned to source.

  • At registration: date of birth, residential address and nationality are screened against sanctions and politically-exposed-person lists.
  • Before your first withdrawal: full identity and payment method verification is mandatory.
  • At deposit thresholds set by our risk policy: cumulative deposits above the threshold trigger a document refresh.
  • On risk indicators: unusual betting patterns, rapid deposit-withdrawal cycling or conflicting account details.

Verification Step by Step

Upload everything from your account page under Verification. We check documents in the order they arrive, and most checks finish within 24 to 48 hours. If something is illegible or expired, we tell you straight away rather than letting the request sit.

Documents are stored encrypted, access is restricted to trained compliance staff, and we never ask you to send identity documents by email or live chat. Any request of that kind is fraudulent and should be reported to [email protected].

  • Open Verification in your account and select the document type.
  • Photograph the full document, all four corners visible, no glare or cropping.
  • Upload proof of address dated within the last 3 months showing your name and address.
  • Verify your payment method: card photo with middle 8 digits and CVV covered, or wallet screenshot.
  • Wait for our confirmation email, typically within 24 to 48 hours.

Why We Ask About Source of Funds

For most players, a verified ID closes the file. Where deposits are large or the pattern of play raises a question, our licence obliges us to establish where the money came from. This is not an accusation; it is a standard control applied to a minority of accounts.

We may ask for recent payslips, a tax return, bank statements covering the deposit period, or evidence of a property sale, inheritance or business income. Anything you send is treated as confidential and reviewed only by compliance staff. Play continues while we assess, unless the risk requires a pause.

  • Cumulative deposits exceeding the enhanced due diligence threshold set in our risk policy.
  • Deposits out of line with the income profile indicated by your declared occupation.
  • Frequent crypto deposits converted straight to withdrawals with little play.
  • Multiple funding sources converging on one account.

How We Monitor Transactions

Every deposit and withdrawal passes automated screening before it settles. The system flags structuring (splitting amounts to stay under thresholds), rapid deposit-to-withdrawal cycling with minimal wagering, and movements inconsistent with your account history. Flagged items go to a human reviewer the same day.

We return withdrawals to the same method you used to deposit wherever it is technically possible. Card deposits are refunded to that card first, crypto returns go to the originating wallet address, and PayID withdrawals are sent to a bank account in your verified name. Minimum withdrawal is 30 AUD, with caps of 5,000 AUD per day and 20,000 AUD per week. Withdrawals take 1-3 business days, and crypto payouts are usually completed within 24 hours.

We charge no fees on deposits or withdrawals, and we never accelerate a payout past monitoring. A pending withdrawal can be cancelled and returned to your balance only before it clears our checks.

If Verification Fails

An unverified account still lets you play, but withdrawals stay blocked until checks finish. If documents are missing, we email you and hold the request for the period stated in that email, usually 30 days. After the deadline passes without a response, the account is suspended and the balance is held pending verification.

Where we establish that documents are forged, that the account belongs to a third party, or that the account is under someone else's control, we close it. Balances from legitimate deposits are returned to the verified source; winnings tied to the breach are void. Refunds and any mandated reports to the authorities are handled by our compliance team, and you can appeal a decision by writing to [email protected], available 24/7.

Players from restricted jurisdictions, including the USA, UK, France, Spain, Italy, Netherlands, Belgium and Turkey, cannot hold accounts at Mybet Casino, and any account opened from those territories is closed on detection.

  • Withdrawals blocked until identity, address and payment method checks pass.
  • Account suspension after the document deadline lapses without a response.
  • Immediate closure for fraudulent documents, third-party accounts or sanctioned individuals.
  • Balance refunds only to the verified originating payment method.

How Long We Keep Records

Our licence requires us to retain identity documents, transaction records and verification decisions for five years after the account closes. We keep them because a regulator, court or financial intelligence unit can lawfully request them in connection with an investigation, and we must produce complete records on demand.

Retention does not mean open access. Documents sit in encrypted storage, access is logged, and you can request a copy of the records we hold about you at any time by contacting [email protected]. After the retention period ends, records are securely destroyed.

Frequently asked questions

Can I play before verification is complete?

Yes. You can register, deposit and play with a minimum deposit of 20 AUD. Verification becomes mandatory before your first withdrawal, and we recommend completing it early to avoid delays.

How long does verification take at Mybet Casino?

Most document checks are finished within 24 to 48 hours of upload. Complex cases, such as source of funds reviews, can take longer, and we keep you informed throughout.

Why must withdrawals go back to my deposit method?

Our same-method rule is an anti-money-laundering control required under our Malta Gaming Authority licence. It confirms that funds return to the person who sent them, so crypto goes back to the originating wallet and card deposits are refunded to that card.

Is it safe to upload my ID documents?

Documents are encrypted, access is limited to trained compliance staff, and we never request identity documents by email or live chat. We retain records for five years after account closure, as our licence requires.
